Mission: Attack the scraps

Egads! This is just ONE of the bins of scraps I have. I keep all my bright scraps in this one and then I have a neutral bin, a red/pink bin, blacks/browns, greens and blues. And then I have drawers with different sized strips/squares. They are taking over my room. So, my mission is to reduce the scraps and stop the overflow.

Here is the first quilt--actually it's only 40" square, but I'm going to leave it like this for a class on using that Quiltsmart's method of doing Drunkard's Path. After class, I'll add more until it's at least a twin size.

I had more to post and had another back spasm. My miracle didn't happen:( Oh well. I will probably have an MRI when I return from my trip.
I did get 2 quilt tops made for my reunion, which starts tomorrow! Samantha--I'm heading your way. We are flying into Denver tomorrow and headed up into the mountains. We rent out the church camp for 4 days. I'm looking forward to it and hope my back decides to behave!

Little Boy would have an absolute blast with that pile of scraps. He uses the kitchen tongs and pretends to be a sheer tractor and grabs all my scraps (and sometimes the actual quilt pieces - oops!) to play with. I would like to play in that pile of scraps too!

Cheers!

Evelyn

I hope your back behaves while you are gone and just plain behaves....period.

OMG, your scraps are so organized! I started sorting mine but the task is daunting!

Sorry to hear about your back. Hope it's better soon - can't have that interfering with your quilting!

Hugs
Vicky

Very cute. I bought a curved piecing foot for my sewing machine in February but haven't had a chance to try it out. I plan on doing a drunkard's path when I get around to using the foot.

Ohh, I really like the colors in your drunkard's path quilt. :) I'll be watching to see how it finishes!

I love you idea for organizing scraps. My scrap bin is one huge tub with everything jammed in. If I can make the time this weekend, I will sort by color. Excellent idea. Thanks!

That drunkard path looks great with all those colors. I normally don't repeat patterns once I've made them, but I think another drunkard path is calling me.
