Bear Paws from internet Swap

Nancy of www.nancyquilts.blogspot.com wrote of making Bear Paws quilts and mentioned a swap done quite a while ago with a group. I was IN that group! And I have the quilt done and labeled. So I decided to post it, and Nancy, it wasn't as bad as you thought! :) Sorry, the label picture isn't too clear. I pieced the quilt and then had my Amish friend hand quilt it.

Thanks for posting your Bears Paw! I had forgotten that we swapped siggie squares along with the blocks. Wonder what happened to mine??? I probably put them up somewhere to use in the label and will find them one day tucked into the corner of a tote somewhere.

If you want to see mine it's on my blog. Go to my December archives. It's about 2/3 the way down the page. Shoot I just went to get the date and have forgotten already. Dec. 12th maybe. Also if you want another blast from the past my Churn Dash from QuiltFriends is in my November archives almost all the way at the bottom.

I have my Churn Dashes too--I'll dig up that picture. I JUST found my label, made by the swap hostess, but forgot I had it. Now get this, I found a bag of siggie squares--yours included--but have NO idea for what swap that it was for! They are neat ones too! I might just have to make a mini quilt out of them! LOL

If mine is a drawing of a cat then they're from a swap Judy G. hosted. I have a set and just haven't found the pattern I want to use for them yet. When I do they'll go in a small wallhanging for my sewing room.

Excellent use of swapped blocks! I like the siggy label - My DH designed a siggy for me - it is a humpback whale holding a heart. I got caught up in the millenium craze while living on Cape Cod and love my siggy. The same siggy works for Canada too, but Austria??? Maybe I should ask him to stencil a mountain behind the whale? OK, got to go to Nancy's archives to look at her version - what fun!

Cheers!

Evelyn

Hey Karen, Here is a voice from the past. I found my siggie square on your Bear Paws label. :)
That one and the Churn Dash quilt turned out great! I love the applique idea!!! Sure miss you on MG!
The siggie swap that Judy hosted - I made mine up in a small wh and use it to keep all of my little pins on instead of them getting lost in the jewelry box!
