Ostrich Challenge
Here is my center block for the Ostrich Challenge. It's a leftover block from a quilt I made by Karen Stone and is 18" square. I hope that's not too big. It's been on my design wall for 1 1/2 years, and I think it's aged long enough and it told me it didn't want to be a pillow. Thanks Kim for letting me join in on the fun!
PS..was still having trouble loading pictures and I decided to download Firefox's browser and try it--voila!

Oh, I like this one! What a fabulous block. This is sure to inspire a great quilt.
That is beautiful! It isn't too big if you say it isnt too big - it is your quilt. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
what a great centre... it'll be fun to see how this challenge developes
what an interesting block--can't wait to see what the ostrich grows into!
well, depends on what size rounds you add to this block will make the size of the quilt..great center block!
ohh, nice center!
Is that machine applique or turned edge? I'd cringe at trying to turn all those curves under and keep the line looking as smooth as you have. :)
That is one of the most stunning blocks I've seen. Truly beautiful. I can't wait to see what sort of a quit it becomes.
oh my gosh, that is gorgeous! can't wait to see what it will look like done...
This will be a wonderful center block!
I love Firefox.
I just love that block!! Too cool, can't wait to see what you do with it.
Hey, that's the prettiest block! So unusual. Whatever the Ostrich Challenge is, it will be so interesting to see more added on to it :-).
As a beginning quilter, I loved the photos of examples on your site.
