I vividly remember taking forever in the quilt store trying to assemble all the fabrics. So even if the fabric has no memories in itself, the quilt as a whole will always bring back fond memories.

how do I
get the picture that Kim created about the no fabric buying in the sidebar? I tried to copy and paste it in the code--but since it wasn't in code, it wouldn't go in. Then I noticed that Vicky has hers in her profile picture, but we have to link it to a URL. I thought I knew more, but again, have been proven wrong! Your quilt is lovely--the HSTS around the edge of the quilt add so much to it and carry those shaped outward for the eye to enjoy the fabric squares.

That is a great quilt. I too have fond memories of choosing just the right fabric for a quilt at my local quilt shop. I had bolts everywhere - and was wandering around all the store looking for more bolts to add to my pile.
Still haven't finished that quilt though ...
